    Hi:

    I followed your instructions and upgraded to 1.38 and then upgraded to 2.0. Now, many of my settings have been changed to your defaults (logo, footer, etc.).

    When viewing my pages (i.e. https://dessertsbygerard.com/cakes-2/ or https://dessertsbygerard.com/home2/ give me blank pages with messages like:

    [rev_slider_vc alias=”bakery-main-slider”]

    [vu_title title=”Best Selling Products” subtitle=”Check Out the Favorite Baked Goods the We Have Available” style=”vu_overline” alignment=”center” class=””][vu_products type=”standard” layout=”4″ product_view=”landscape” show_button=”1″ button_text=”See All of Our Products” button_link=”url:%23||” class=”” query=”size:All|order_by:date|tax_query:73″]

    Now, the site is unusable. Please help. We were supposed to launch this week but I wanted the latest version.

    Thanks,

    Mark

    OK. So I reverted back to version 1.3.8. Everything is "pretty much" as it was except for the following:

    1. My footer widgets disappeared. I'd like to redo the exactly like you have in the footer on your demo page - http://preview.milingona.co/themes/bakery/main/ . Can you tell me how to achieve the contact footer with the icons and the hours footer?

    2. How can I get the search icon in my main menu bar?

    3. How can I get the title of a product to appear on my main page, but then when I hover, the overlay with the link and cart and preview icons show up.

    Thank you,

    Mark

    Hello Mark,

    Unfortunately, your current theme version does not support the above mentioned features so we recommend you to get Bakery 2 in order to be able to implement all of them.

    The 'bad' thing is that you will have to built the site from the beginning but you will also get access to a lot of new functions and features which are a result of a hard and long work.

    Thanks and cheers,

    Hi: You told me a few months ago that after I purchased the them that you could implement these for me. I asked on your Themeforest site under the username "mlong43".

    Hi. Is there a search capability for products, I guess from the menu would be best?

    Hi,

    Of course, search function for products is already built and implemented in the theme. You can see it in action using the following links for each of the theme demo:

    Thank you for your reply. One more question. My client is a little old school. When viewing like here:

    http://themes.milingona.co/bakery/shop/shop/

    is it possible to display the product name under the picture. I know that it shows up when you hover over the photo but she thinks people will leave the page if they can’t find the name of the product they are looking for under the photo Thank you..

    No problem, we can make the product name to be shown under the product thumbnail too. Just get in touch with us via here after the purchase and the support team will be ready to help you out.

    Hi Mark,

    Bakery 2 has been completely rebuilt from the ground up and supports search on header, 4 product styles including product style showing the name under the thumbnail etc. Implementing those features in your current version would take us a lot of time and would complicate things. On the other hand, moving your site to a fresh installation would be better option for you since you could take advantage of other features and upcoming updates. So, please let us know once more if you want to use your current version or want to proceed with Bakery 2.

    Thanks,

    I'm not sure why you would suggest rebuilding a 60 page site from scratch. That would require a month and a half of downtime. I'm fine with 1.3.8, but just don't understand why it would be so difficult now when it was an easy option six months ago. I am contacting you after my purchase, just as you requested.

    Oh, also, the client doesn't want the wordpress site live until launch so if you go to dessertsbygerard.com, it will show the old website. If you want to look at a page to see whether what you are doing is working you can look at: http://dessertsbygerard.com/home2/

    Thank you. It looks great. Can you tell me where the file is that controls the product name being displayed under the photo. I would like to change the opacity of the orange overlay and don't want to have to bother you about it.

    I'm going over to themeforest to give you positive feedback.

    Thanks so much for keeping your word.

    Hey Mark,

    You can use the following code in Bakery > Custom Code to change the opacity of orange color overlay:

    .vu_product-item .vu_pi-container {
    background-color: rgba(253,184,34,0.2);
    }

    or if you want to make the change directly, then just edit theme's style.css file.

    p.s. Happy to help you anytime and would really appreciate a positive review on Themeforest.

    Best regards,

    Ok. Made the change to the opacity. Looks great.

    I just noticed, however, that when you hover over the product the three little circled icons come up, the magnifying glass, the link and then the shopping cart. The problem is that when I click on the shopping cart, instead pf placing an item in the shopping cart, it either just takes me to the product page (item page) or it displays a red check mark but does nothing.

    Hey Mark,

    The issue seems to be related with your server so we suggest you to contact your host provider and see what is causing that.
