That is related to the browser and not the theme. It may happen that the products are saved from the browser cache especially when you use back button even you empty the cart. But if you try to reload the page you'll notice that the products won't be in the cart.
The theme has been tested and is compatible with WordPress 4.9.6. While we're currently working to make if fully compatible with the latest WooCommerce version.
