I restored an older version of the website and the quantity '1' is shown for variable products in their thumbnails. In order for a user to be able to add a variable product into the cart, he/she must first specify the attributes/select variables. So the quantity field is of no use below the photo of variable products, and also does not work for variable products. Do you have the code to remove quantity field for variable products only, and where should it be inserted?

Thank you so much. The main issue that remains is the variable products. They turn to single product when I want to modify them and I cannot make any changes to my variable products. For example if you go to any product (the lemon blueberry cake or the chocolate raspberry cake), it shows 'simple product' while they are variable products and are showing as variable products on the website. It would be great if this 'bug' can be fixed because I cannot change the price or other aspects of the product.
A similar problem arises when I make a variable product, it is not working or it does not save. I made for my cupcakes the attribute 'quantity' with values 5, 10 and 20 but it does not show up on the product page when making a variable product. I wanted to make so that people can select 5, 10 or 20 cupcakes with different prices per quantity but it did not work.
So to summarize the 2 issues:
- not possible to modify variable products, they turn into single products in the dashboard product page
- not possible to make a variable product, it does not save
